Worldwide Tea Shipping - Policies and Terms
Shipping and Dispatch
When you add an item to the cart, shipping costs are automatically calculated on the basis of package weight and mode of shipping chosen by you. Orders received before Noon IST (Indian Standard Time) usually ship out the same business day. Orders received after this time generally leave the next business day. Our delivery partners include names like DHL, FedEx, UPS and TNT. Though no orders are delivered on Sundays we make sure that you receive your orders at the earliest.
Domestic Shipping in India
For deliveries within India, we engage reputed third-party logistics and courier service providers, including but not limited to Delhivery, Xpressbees, Ecart, Blue Dart, and DHL. For locations classified as Out of Delivery Areas (ODA), shipments may be routed through DTDC or EMS, as deemed appropriate. Under normal operating conditions, domestic orders are delivered within an estimated timeframe of 3 to 5 working days from the date of dispatch. Notwithstanding the foregoing, delivery timelines are indicative in nature and may be extended due to factors beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to public holidays, festive seasons, road or transport disruptions, force majeure events, or operational constraints of the logistics partner.
Please take note of the following terms:
- Free Shipping: Complimentary shipping is applicable on all orders delivered within India.
- Cash on Delivery (COD): An additional charge of INR 45 shall be levied exclusively on orders placed under the Cash on Delivery payment mode.
By placing an order, the customer acknowledges and agrees to the above shipping and delivery terms.
International Shipping (outside India)
We offer international shipping and deliver our products to destinations worldwide through recognized international logistics partners. Delivery timelines vary depending on the shipping method selected, customs clearance processes, and destination country. The indicative delivery timelines are as follows:
- Express Courier Services (DHL / FedEx): Approximately 7–10 working days from the date of dispatch
- EMS Speed Post: Approximately 10–12 working days from the date of dispatch
- International Air Mail: Approximately up to 15 working days from the date of dispatch
The above timelines are estimates only and are subject to delays arising from customs clearance, regulatory inspections, force majeure events, or operational constraints of the courier service providers.
Shipping charges for international orders are levied as per actuals and may vary based on the destination country, applicable courier rates, fuel surcharges, cross-border handling fees, and volumetric or chargeable weight, as determined by the courier partner. In the event of any additional or revised shipping costs arising due to a change in courier service, updated international tariffs, or unforeseen cross-border charges, we reserve the right to contact the customer via email and/or telephone to seek confirmation prior to dispatch.
For clarity, the following general principles apply:
- Free Shipping: Complimentary international shipping is applicable on orders with an order value exceeding USD 34.99, subject to destination feasibility and courier availability.
- Orders Below USD 34.99: A shipping fee shall be applicable and will be automatically calculated and displayed at checkout. Such charges may be revised in exceptional cases due to cross-border transit or carrier-imposed adjustments.
Customs Duties & Taxes: Any customs duties, import taxes, VAT, GST, or similar levies imposed by the destination country are not included in the product or shipping price and shall be borne exclusively by the customer. These charges, if applicable, are payable directly by the customer to the relevant customs or local authorities.
By placing an international order, the customer expressly acknowledges and agrees to the above international shipping terms and conditions.
Specific Cases to Note
It has been notified that the Customs Department in some countries - Qatar, Italy, Spain, Costa-Rica, Czech Republic, Isreal and Germany have begun charging an additional amount (around 5% extra) as a Custom Clearance fee. We at Teacurry work with the customs clearance departments of different countries to ensure that the package reaches you as quickly as possible, but in these specific cases, the additional charge will have to be borne by the customer. However, this is not the case with other countries across the globe.
Damage and Issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. Please note that to be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. To start a return, you can contact us at tea@teacurry.com. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
Exceptions / non-returnable Items
Certain types of items including our teabags, tea pouches, loose tea, herbs, spices and herbal tisanes cannot be returned, because they are perishable goods. We also don't accept returns of custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item. Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
Exchanges and Refunds
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item. In case of refunds, we will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
